The Terran Build warranty is transferable and covers the original purchaser and any subsequent homeowner during the warranty period, provided the door remains installed at the original address. Commercial, multi-family, and rental property installations are covered under a separate Commercial Warranty - please contact us for details.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation not performed to Terran Build installation guidelines, damage from impact, misuse, or accident, failure due to inadequate maintenance, surface scratches or finish damage caused after delivery, products that have been modified or painted with non-approved coatings, or normal wear and weathering of consumable components beyond the stated coverage period.

To maintain warranty coverage, doors must be installed in accordance with the Terran Build Installation Guide. A proper sill pan flashing system must be used. The door must not be installed in direct contact with masonry or concrete without an appropriate moisture barrier.

Factory-finished doors require cleaning with mild soap and water at least twice per year. Doors exposed to direct sunlight may require more frequent cleaning. Use of abrasive cleaners, solvents, or power washers voids the finish warranty.

At Terran Build's sole discretion, approved warranty claims will be remedied by repair, replacement of the defective component, or replacement of the entire door unit. Terran Build's liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product.

Doors ordered through the Custom Door Program carry the same warranty terms as the standard line. Structural coverage is 25 years. Custom RAL colours are covered for 5 years. All custom door warranty claims must be submitted with the original custom order number.
